I received a surprise today.
 

The mail lady came to the door today with a package. She looked on the wall across from the door and saw a wall hanging I had on the wall. She said that is so pretty would you sell it to me.

Seeing that I have so many I said sure and made a quick $50.

Very nice surprise, indeed!

Now that is the way to sell a quilt. I don't want to have to work with someone else's colors, pattern or time schedule. It someone wants to buy a quilt I've already made I would sell it. Just want to do what I want to do - not what I have to do.

Nice! I agree... I would love to sell stuff I make on my own time. No commission work around here.

What a great way to start a day. I was at our county fair promoting our store and last minute I took a wall hanging I had made of the Wizard of Oz collection. It was for show not to sell. a lady loved it, I said not for sale, she came back with DH and he offered $100. for the 18' x 24" wallhanging, so I took the $$$.

W hat a great day. The mail lady might be back for more.

Kudos on your sale! It is so very nice to have someone love your work so much that they are willing to pay to have it. The best part? She will take good care of it and get lots of compliments from her friends and family. I bet she will be back for more.
