I remind myself of Pig Pen from Charlie Brown
I just had to share this while I was chuckling at myself. I clean my sewing room, all nice and neat. Then I spend the day sewing, piecing, quilting or doing embroidery. All the while, clipping threads, making dust and lint from batting, etc. Then I quickly jump up to run into another room, with threads and stuff swirling in my wake. You could trail me through the house, following the tiny scraps of fabric and thread. Then one day, I'll have to run the vacuum and start sewing again:)

Your post made me giggle & I know the feeling well.

It is all good until you head to the store with the threads and scraps still attached. Ask me how I know :-)
|
I am the same. I spread my thread all over the house. :) Just the way it is.

Me too. i've even picked up a tiny fabric dog-ear( trimmed from a triangle) out of my bath tub. Or I've gone to the grocery store not realizing how many threads were all over my sweater.

I am a very messy sewer too...I call it my "creative mess".
|
I know! It doesn't matter how many thread catchers you have..thread gets all over the house!

I spent a few hours yesterday running errands with a sewing needle stuck through my shirt - my storage solution when I'm sewing.

I'm only embarrassed when I go to church with threads hanging all over!! I just cleaned my sewing room yesterday but after today no one would ever know it. I .like to start a new project with a "put together" room even if it doesn't last long

I had to laugh at this one. I too go to church or anywhere with threads hanging on me. My family and friends have just learned to "pick me" when they see me. They always want to know what I'm working on.
