We are under a tornado warning and have been for a few hours. 82 degrees and suppose to be in the low 40s tomorrow and low 50s Friday. It is typical here. With the warm weather now, it causes storms. I need to get into the habit of unpluging surge protect, just in case.
Enjoy the cooler temp.s for those getting it. It will be hot and humid before I know it.

I always unplug my machine if there is any chance of storms. We got freezing rain last night, lots of power outages, school closings, and expecting more of the same tonight. Not sure if I would rather have the 8-12" snow to the west. When is spring going to get here?????????????

Could y'all just keep all that nasty weather up your ways? I promise we'll share ours with you....eventually! We had 80-something degrees here today, and I cut my AC on yesterday for the first time this season....not bragging, just letting you know what a little slice of heaven we've got here until all y'all's messy (and noisy!!!!) stuff gets here tomorrow night...!

Hot yesterday, warm last night and this morning, cool heading towards cold now and tonight. Supposed to warm back up this weekend.

I bought a surge protector that is guaranteed. I do turn it off when not sewing. Only unplug it when I'll be away from home overnite or more. OK, I will unplug it if we have a sever storm, but that isn't often down here.

At Radio Shack, there were different levels on the surge protectors. The highest they said would protect from almost all surges. I think it might be time to invest for the TV, PC and computer sewing machines. And the microwave. And none are located close to each other, so that's 4 of them.

In San Juaquin Valley, we never thought about it. But up here in the Sierra Nevadas and with the new computerized machines, it's a different world.

Txsuthrn, I see you are in E. Texas, so am I. We live in Liberty City, outside of Kilgore. I have a treadle machine I would like to sell, send me a PM.
