What a great find! I bet when you got home you sat down and went through each piece. I would have done the same thing. Congratulations!

I think I do also, have never found fabric in my GW, and only find very scrappy pieces of cotton in the SA. But, one of these days??????????????

nanquilt 03-16-2011 08:10 PM

You are so fortunate. What store did you buy the fabric?

penski 03-16-2011 08:41 PM

wow great deal wtg!!!

doowopddbop 03-16-2011 10:51 PM

Whaaat?? That is wonderful!!

montanajan 03-16-2011 10:56 PM

Just looked at your location - you're in a highly populated area, its hard to find useable stash in our sparsely populated area of NW Montana - too rural for lg volumes of anything. I am excited for anyone who hits the jackpot in recycling fabric finds!

katcincinnati 03-17-2011 03:30 AM

I'm green with envy.

lurag 03-17-2011 03:49 AM

I didn't even know that Goodwill sold fabric, next time I will stop into the one at the town I go to shop at and check theirs out.

GrandmaLola 03-17-2011 08:58 AM

I NEVER find anything at Goodwill! Lucky girl!

Rumbols 03-17-2011 09:03 AM

Eileen 03-17-2011 05:02 PM

What a find. I never see fabric in our local Goodwill store. I guess everyone here just keeps all their fabric.

Nettie Phillips 03-17-2011 05:27 PM

I say Lucky you too.

Quiltbin 03-18-2011 07:32 AM

Did anybody ask "How do you acquire a stash?"

CarolLady 03-19-2011 05:08 PM

I haven't seen any fabric at the Goodwill close to me either. But I will keep looking... lol

I too live in an area not too populated so peeps hang on to their stuff or sell it. I would like to say that most finds for everyone are hit or miss....you're more likely to hit by visiting often. Our GW puts all crafts in a bin including the fabric. SAVERS hangs theirs on hangers, SVDP is on a shelf and SA hangs theirs up too. Always remember, workers at many charieties have first dibs B4 the public......probably not what the person donates would want to know.

tryitall 03-21-2011 12:07 PM

And purple is MY favorite color. Lucky you!!!
