Ok maybe not in love but reallly like. LOL. On my recent annual trip to fabric depot I hit the back wall (50% off rementants), great way to get small amounts of different fabrics ( for my GFG). The ones I grabbed were maybe between 9-16 inches. Asked DH to grab some as well. Of course he got batiks (I hate batiks). The batiks I saw (5 yrs. ago) felt like candle wax dripped on cheap fabric, so I've just never looked at batiks. Well these feel so soft, wish they had something written on the selvage. I'd sure like to get some yardage of these. I've put a scrap in my RV for next years trip. Wish me luck.

If you put a picture of the batiks up we may be able to help ID them. A lot of us are bonkers for batik. I have been collecting them for years and have never had one like you describe like they had been dipped in wax. Although the method of traditional batik is wax resist. You may have initially gotten a true traditional batik panel that had that waxy feel and not what is commercially available through the major manufacturers. The most well known are Hoffman of California and Tonga by Timeless Treasures. There is also Princess Mariah batiks. And some shops, like "Sew Batik" actually commissions their own.

Edited to add that I have tried Connecting threads batiks as well and they are also very nice.

I too did not like Batik's but I am now hooked. A friend found me some for a dollar a yard so she bought what was left and sent them to me.

There are some I love, and others that i won't use.
