HEHEHE so true!!
made a contribution to my stash tonight!
Where's the "like" button? so true .....
LOL, I love it! So true! Thanks for sharing this with us!
A quote from one of our customers, as she was purchasing about a hundred FQs:
"If I don't feed my stash, it will die." |
My standard answer is "Something, Sometime" with a smile.
Yep, very true!
How true!!!
hahaa yep I can relate to that
Sometimes I think my stash is like Audrey II, in the Little Shop of Horrors - "Feed me, Feed me"
Poor sales clerk.... how many times did she ask what I was making and I said "nothing." LOL
Wouldn't you just like to answer "I am not making anything....I just like spending money" and smile.....
Added to mine yesterday as Hancock was having a wonderful sale plus senior day so another 15% off, how can you pass that up? Got a few gifts for our guild exchange next month and picked up some things for the SP exchange here.
I always get asked what I'm making and when I answer "a quilt", the next question they ask is "what's the pattern?". Do they really think of gotten that far in planning!! LOL
My response is typically "its going in the Museum" ... but I am going to have to borrow "If I don't feed my stash, it will die."
I just say "I like to buy fabric"

It's Wonder Fabric. I wonder what I am going to use it for. It's still cheaper than therapy
So funny!! It's Joann's policy that they HAVE to ask. It's a way of showing interest in the customer according to their policies. If you shop Joann's you've probably noticed how stiff it sounds when some of the employees ask because 1 - they have no sewing experience or 2 - they really just could care less! LOL
OMG!!! I do that all the time ... Buy a half yard of a fabric just because I like it, with no specific quilt in mind. Or fat quarters too :)
jody |
lol amen.we hoard.

Good one. If you see a piece of fabric you like do you really need to have a project in mind?
Too funny! I'm buying it because I want it... 'nuff said. :)
OH! my gosh that's so true *
Me with another Walmart experience:
As they normally do, "Whatcha making?" I told her, and then she said she asked a customer the same thing a few days ago, about the whole bolt of fur she was buying. The looked to be 80 or so customer told her that her husband just got his implant and they were carpeting the floor in their bedroom with it! |
I just smile and say, I make quilts for charity. I do, so I am telling the truth, and I am not saying that THIS fabric is for that at this time. It probably will go into one eventually!
