*sigh*
my husband was cutting this fabric http://www.equilter.com/cgi-bin/webc...50110335833.95 for me to make into Kaleidoscopes Cutebuns style unfortunately, he buggered the cut completely, and used the WRONG template no salvaging one cut strip of fabric      now, instead of 54 hexies, I have only 45, so will be looking for ways to stretch the little bit of fabric I have left ....I bought 2, 2 yard cuts got 6 repeats with enough left over for borders, a scrap, a pillow case and a "cowboy" for one of the girls at guild |

Mark Lipinski raved about this fabric when he had his magazine.
Are you just trying not to have to get more? Not the best of mistakes to make, but he gets an "A++" in my book for being there to help out. |
maybe he was making a point about the hunk on the fabric????
LOL |
Uh oh! This is something for me to look out for as my DH helps too!!!
So sorry - must be really annoying!!! |
it gets worse....
using the right template, I get 7 cuts from a strip, so 35 complete hexies (not the 45 husband calculated previously) it all boils down to the fact that (dear??) husband didn't get the right template, he used the template from "54-40 or Fight", not the 60 degree one I asked him to cut these for me because he is VERY particular about cutting anything ....this is the guy who is making templates for Dear Jane (it's easier to hand piece with accurate templates according to him!!) oh well, I've gone from mskinh a large lap/bed throw to a small lap quilt, not I will be lucky to get a really small lap/display quilt...... or......I need to buy another couple of yards of fabric, don't want to do that, can't really afford it *sigh* |
Maybe leave it as a ufo until you can get more fabric. If he helps make sure he has the right template. We all make mistakes.

But put it to the side step back and go work on something else until you can grab up some more fabric. Billy |
