I thought I was organized..but
OK I'll start out...while looking for orange thread, I found that I have out grown my ( 2 ) 40 count thread containers. Sigh..still not finding my orange thread.

Maybe you used it all on another orange quilt? I'd just go buy more.
|
Gee is that all of the thread you have? I have sewing thread, quilting thread, embroidery thread and serger thread. Of course any project I start always requires at least one thread that I don't already have.
|
I''m with "nanna" you can never have to much thread. Orange is one of those colors that I don't have a lot in my stach. If you are like me you should go shipping. HA HA hope you found it a I know how up setting it is to know you have something and can't find it. goos luck in you hunt.

I have lots of thread. Like fabric I will have too much to use it all.
|
I have eliminated part of the problem. After much experimentation, I realized I can use the same thread for piecing and machine quilting. I also use the same silk thread for hand appliqué and binding.

I mostely use cream, light and dark grey, some red and keep a spool of black. Those colors seem to work for most of my pieceing. Learned that from working in the costume shop at the university a long time ago. Oh, a couple of different variaged colors for my longarm.

I lost a box of buttons several months ago. I am convinced they are in the "Twilight Zone". Jim got me some more. If you need it right away, I would just get another spool.

I still think I'm organized. I just can't remember where I decided the best place to put things was, so look and look and can't find them. Usually when I'm looking for something else, I'll find the item I was looking for the other day. It's sad when your mind starts to go . . .
