Congratulations. I have the same one. They are really liberal saying it weighs 14 lbs. Four or less is more like it.

My sis picked up a sewing machine I bought in Indy at shopgoodwill. It's in the back of my car and hasn't made it to the house yet. It's been so long I forgot what I bought.

And it's too cold and windy for my blood---I'm waiting until the sun warms up that side of the house. Paid less than $40 forgot exactly what.

You will love this sewing box! I use mine for my hand quilting supplies and it was my MIL's.

The Goodwill auction sites are great and since few people know about them, you can get some good deals.

My stepdad who is 89 bid on one at an auction locally and won! It's full of all kinds of stuff. I'm trying to talk him out of it, but I'll have to try harder. He doesn't sew and mom can't seem to get it together either. Enjoy the wonderful piece.

Great find. I have one very similar that my Grandfather made for my mother back in the late 50's, early 60's. He hand made it from a Cherry tree that was on his property. I just love my hand me down. Hope you will love yours also.

I had to sell mine many years ago when my children were small and I was raising them by myself. Groceries were most important then.
ENJOY
