We have an empty bedroom that is now a guest room. I have decided to decorate it seasonally. `I have purchased some cute Christmas fat quarters and with Christmas almost here, will be purchasing some more holiday fabric at a good price. Any ideas for quilts? Thought of the Turning Twenty quilts, but maybe there are better ideas out there!

Can't wait for everyones' ideas. I am also getting ready to start a Turning Twenty and wondered if there was something better? I did look over the " Yellow Brick Road"? but am using Batiks and wanted the fabric to be showcased. Have also come up with 20 Christmas Fat quarts to make a Turning Twenty Holiday quilt. Got my fat quarts $1.00 ea. Love those holiday sales.

It all depends on how many you have of duplicates. If you have like four duplicates of one then there is more that you can do. I am making a lap size hidden wells quilts out of batiks. I am using 6 fabrics cut into strips of various sizes to make it. with FQ's anything stripy would work well. or ones that have squares or triangles. this way you get the most out of your fabric.
this one might work also

A log cabin would also work. just depends on what colors and what look you are going for.

Lucky Stars by Atkinson Designs is a very quick and easy pattern. I've done several in different color combinations and it always looks great.

Check out the tutorial I did for 10 minute blocks. You could get a nice pattern out of that. Cut your blocks 4 inches square instead of 5 to get the max amount out of your fat quarters.
