My neice has asked me to make her a quilt that is Turquoise, Purple and Brown. She is 15 years old. I am trying to find a cute pattern. I have found a lot of fabric at Hobby Lobby, Joannes' with the turquoise and brown together, but haven't found the right pattern. Any help woud be greatly appreciated!!! Thank you very much!!

Hi - welcome from Georgia! Finding the right pattern can be hard sometimes. The pattern you choose should (usually) be determined by your skill level. Are you new to quilting?

Hi and welcome from the sunny state of Florida!!
Also my question is what kind of a pattern are you comfortable working on? HST, a simple 9-patch, railfence, warmwishes, turning twenty, D9P or a more complicated pattern?
Look at pictures on this board and maybe you'll find something you're wanting to do! Keep us posted with what you decide!

Hi Jillian, welcome from northern Minnesota!

A rail fence would be nice ... or maybe you want to try the disappearing nine patch (D9P). I haven't made one yet but I'm anxious to try that one.

Maybe look at the July BOM of the month pictures of the Bird of Paradise blocks. Wouldn't that be the nicest quilt in teal, purple and brown. Very femine too.

Hello and welcome from SW Iowa. My favorite patter is an Irish Chain. Good luck with your quilt.

welcome from New Hampshire. Check to see if your local library has some quilt books. Some quilts look easy but aren't; some look difficult and aren't. When you see the instructions you'll get a sense if you can do it.
