Identify quilt pattern
 

I live in Oklahoma City. Saw this quilt in Chickasaw OK quilt shop on sale. No pattern available, but from some quilt book. Would like the pattern to duplicate. Anyone familiar with this quilt please let meknow. Thanks, Fran J.

Does the quilt shop know the name of the quilt pattern? You could contact the designer to see if she sells a stand-alone pattern, or maybe see if your library has the book.

Seems like it wouldn't be too difficult to duplicate the design. I would look at each row. If you will notice there are two different rows alternating. This looks like something that would use jelly rolls.

It seems to be four half log cabins to make the cross and some of the blocks that have a white border around one half log to make it float.

Then they are put together in two layouts:[ATTACH=CONFIG]554393[/ATTACH] this is the dark border block.

they are in two diff rows with the light bordered block alternating with either one of the other blocks. Clear as mud? This looks jelly roll friendly. I would not be surprised if this was a strip club pattern. I could not find it, but I didn't look very hard either.

If you look at the quilt, run your cursor down the middle. After you pass the center, to your right and just a tad down, you will see a "ghost" looking square. That is the pattern block. It looks like it was made with jelly rolls. Start with a square, sew a different color square to it, a strip to that like doing a log cabin, white strips to those, and broken strips for the last part of the block. Then arrange to make design. At least that is the way I see it.

I think I have this pattern at home. I am in SC visiting until Sunday, but PM me and I will be able to give you the name.

It is like soccertxi drawing shows, this quilt is just make up of one block but with dark side and light interchangeable. Probably made from 2.5" strips making the blocks 4" square.

This type of pattern will have instructions that will eliminate a lot of cutting. Usually make one big block and cut to have other block pieces. It's senseless for a shop to have a quilt hung for inspiration and no info on the quilt pattern.
