I have not read all of the pages of this post, but I just wanted to say I agree with many that have said that I give an opinion when asked. I try to be kind in my criticism but very few things bug me more then when someone asks for advice only to be told by many that "everything is perfect" Obviously it isn't or they would not be asking. I think we should support each other in all of our efforts. Only by critically looking at our own work will we ever get better. Kit gloves is my approach. I have not seen many blatant harsh criticisms, but I know they exist. Unfortunately some people just don't seem to be able to help themselves. Rather then bash them I try to think of what might be in their background that makes them that way. My MIL was a lawyer and judge and probably the most cynical and negative person I ever met. She chose a career that had her wallowing in the worst society had to offer for 40+ years. As difficult as it was to deal with her I understood why. Helped a little.

We generally expect the members of the regular police force to "serve and protect the community" -

I think many of our members do just that.
