If there's one thing I've learned ...

In my short time here, it is that you ladies are very dangerous! I must have added at least 12 new quilts to my list of "things to do" since I arrived.

Not sure my husband will appreciate it, but I certainly do! :D

I think we all have added numerous projects to our bucket list after seeing QB postings. Some are way beyond my talent but I like looking at them.

Oh if you think that is bad, go over to the swaps and challange section. I have several bags of blocks from those that need to be put together for a quilt.

It happens!!! My bucket list is soooo long that I am realistic and know I will never get them all done. What I have done is come to a compromise. There are many different blocks and techniques that I want to do at least once. The last 2 baby quilts I have done, I have incorporated more than one thing from my bucket list. For example, I've always wanted to do:

1. Make a black and white quilt
2. Use the Yellow Brick Road pattern
3. Do crosshatching quilting
4. Use only fabrics from my stash
Well, one of the girls at work was due any day. I don't know her very well as I am new at the clinic. I asked the other girls and I was told that the colors she had chosen for her baby was black and white. I pulled out my Yellow Brick Road pattern and then dug into my stash. I was able to put the quilt together in one weekend and I did cross hatching quilting on it.
BAM! Now I can check 4 things off my bucket list! (except I will keep trying to use more fabrics from my stash!)

I know what you mean, I have so many want to make quilts to do. I don't write them down because I don't have any paper long enough to list them. I keep coming up with more I want to make, so my list never gets shorter.

yes, the eye candy is too enticing!

I had so many patterns that I decided I would put a "few" in a binder and work only on those -- didn't happen, I'm still buying patterns! Another problem is seeing and buying gadgets mentioned here :o I don't have to have an immediate need for it -- just maybe one day I may need it -- kind of like a fabric stash, I have a gadget stash! The only thing that will save me is staying off the QB but that ain't happening!

I couldn't agree more. I will never be able to do even half of my favorites.

I want to do almost everything I see. Am I greedy or overly ambitious? I've promised myself no new projects til others are done. Including finishing my digitizing class with Susan Moreno. ----- Well, maybe just one....
