I HAVE had a bad accident with my rotary cutter. Slice off quite a bit of my left index finger. This woould be a wonderful safety device. Maybe they will come down in price . They would sure sell a lot more then :)

Looks like a great tool, but is too expensive for me right now. I have used the cutter on a finger, but now tell everyone not to talk to me if I am cutting. It was inattention on my part. smile. Maybe at a later date, because I hate having to move my hand along the ruler. lol..

I use the suction cup type of bath safty grips. They work great in keeping fabric from moving and in protecting our beautiful fingers from cuts. A lot cheaper also.

I have never heard of this before...it looks great. I use the sandpaper dots, but with my arthritis, this seems like such a wonderful safety feature. Will have to save and watch for sale! TY for the info

New to messaging on this board, but not to reading and learning from all the generous people on here..reading this post scared me about using the rotary tool without a safeguard like this..This Aussie one is a bit steep moneywise, for me, but went to Amazon and ordered "Gypsy Gripper"..Have already had an inexcusable accident on my hand , not related to quilting, do not want another... Looks interesting, but I have the Alto quilt cut 2 which has given me great results, no slippage. Congrats on yur gift tho.:)

Looks great for our young 4H quilters...anything that provides safety when there is a roomful of kids and adults with so many eyes and hands.

Yes. I have the large suction with handle purchased less than $10 at Harbor Freight and it serves the same purpose when applied to your ruler. I just keep it on my 10" square and move it or use it to move my ruler as needed.
