If you were a quilt what pattern would you be and why?
I'd be a crazy patch, barely held together in some places by some crazy stitches and holding up just fine in other places with love and randomness. ;-)
Crazy quilt. I think I fit the "template" :)
I would be a double wedding ring because I love them So much started one and maybe some day it will come out of hiding and be something!! I will have been married 40 years in August and everyone said it would not last!! Proved them wrong!!
My own design, special and unique.
Or a sampler quilt because some day I feel one way, other days I feel differntly. |
I would be a Sunbonnet Sun. I'm trying to keep away the age spots from my face.

Probably a Lone Star with the addition of some Baltimore Album-style applique. My two favorites merged together!

I would be a crazy quilt... some corduroy, some velvet, a few straight stitches, then a few really complicated stitches... There would be some embellishment, but not too much... This is a fun thread... um, no pun intended...

I would be a scrappy log cabin with blocks of 5-8 rails on each side and a "warm" hearth center.....because I'm a home body, with many values, and layers to my personality. Jan in VA |
I would be a double friendship star in the colors of teal, light and dark so that people would be soothed and comforted by the color before they wrapped up in me.
It would be made with the Contrary Wife block. No explanation needed.
I would be a crazy quilt as nothing in life is predictable and I like alot of variety. I was married 39 years last Saturday to my mother in laws disapointment.
i would be a grandmothers flower garden because i love being a grandmom
Whatever quilt it is it would have to have wonky blocks. Because some days I am just not right.

I just want to be well loved!
Scrappy, made from recycled materials, specially velvet and a lot of embroidery/embellishment....why, well in winter I wear a lot of velvet and I love gold...chains, rings, bracelets, earrings, vintage clothes...
I would be a nature quilt with photos and lots of thread painting because I love to be outside and taking photos of almost anything in nature. One of my favorite pictures is of a very large spider web covered in the early morning dew with the sun shining through it. The web was hanging in my crepe myrtle tree.

Hello we share a name!!!
As far as quilt something to do with flowers grandmother's flower garden |
I think I'd be a lonestar with log cabin cornerstones because I have many interests, but home is where the heart is. August will celebrate our 39th Anniversary. I ran away with the cook at dad's luncheonette at 17 & they sold the business to the dishwasher. They not only didn't think it would last, they tried everything they could to help it to that end & failed miserably I'm happy to say.

I would be an antique one. Used and loved, faded in some areas and some of my stitching missing, but still around because everyone is still attached to it in spite of its appearance.

LOL This is such a fun thread! I love all the answers. and reasons why. You all are such a great group of ladies. I think I would probably be a crazy quilt too, just because every one you see is different and you have to look closely to see all the details.
Probably a Sunbonnet Sue just for the shape. lol but my dress would be in fall colors.

Used - but not abused. |
I'd probably be a whole lot of different quilts meshed together, like the quilter kept changing their mind and adding new stuff in :) Definitely a WIP too, not finished by any means
