I have a very old Fiskars (45 I think) rotary cutter that I think I used for paper/scrapbooking. It's been working okay with a new blade, but now that I've invested in a nice rotary mat and Creative Grid & June Tailor (ShapeCut) rulers, I'd really like to invest in some nice rotary cutters, as well. Just haven't a CLUE what's best and which brands to stay away from..... Your suggestions & recommendations would be most appreciated! Thanks in advance. |
I found a really good buy on a red Singer rotary cutter. It's passable for a back up cutter. There was a reason it was cheap! Won't buy another, even on sale.

I have 3 Olfa's, a Martelli, a Gingher, and my newest is a Kai. By FAR the best is the Kai!

Thanks again for all of the suggestions! Didn't get a chance to try them out at my LQS so I hope they work with my ShapeCut Plus ruler!
I ordered a Gingher (since I have many of their scissors/shears) and a Martelli - thought I'd give it a try since I have a bit of carpel tunnel and safety for my daughter. I used 50% off coupons at Joanns. By the way, Martelli's website has two discounts available - best one is 30% off for first time customers; the other is 20% in their monthly newsletter that I downloaded from their Facebook page. |
I have a Martelli 45 and a Martelli 60. Yes, they were pricey but worth every cent because I can cut sitting down. Much easier on my back.
