i use a small travel iron and a table top ironing board next to my machine when doing applique- and also when peicing blocks with many many pieces-like logcabin blocks.
you know- it's your iron- use it for what ever you want- no quilt police to tell you you can not use YOUR iron- my sister only owns a little travel iron- says she has no need for a larger one. |

I use a travel iron with a small pressing board next to my sewing machine for pressing the seams on blocks and small pieces. For the final pressing of the quilt I use my bigger board and iron.
