I design some of my best quilts in the middle of the night.... just remember to have paper and pencil handy to jot down your ideas. :)

I can identify with you. I put things where I will know where they are at only to have them never be seen again.lol I blame the quilt gremlins. I know they visit each night after I am asleep because nothing is where "I know" i left it the next morn.hehe

How can we turn this around?

I think my problem is that I don't pay close enough attention. Generally if I repeat back something.. like what my DH wants me to bring him when I head out to where he is... I'll remember.. if I don't say it back, then it's gone.. and then when I get there, oh boy.. I hate to forget something I should be able to remember!

That's when one gets up and writes it down. When i do that and think how brilliant my thoughts were, the next morning they don't seem that bright lol. At least not all of mine do, some shine a little however.

Love your idea thank you...I used t o write things down when I woke or as I was falling asleep however, when I was fully awake I couldn't make out my own shorthand or writing. I though I had crossed the hopeless line until you shared you tape recorder idea.
