That is a good attitude! Collecting fabric is so much more fun than collecting stamps. If I were to use some of my plate block stamps, I would not have room on the envelope for the address. Now my fabric is always usable, if the color is a bit dated, I can still use it and call it retro or in some cases vintage. lol

The perfect answer to give to anyone who questions our stash!!!

So WHY does everybody expect me to use my fabric collection to actually SEW anything?!!
I'm not a fabriholic; I'm a fabric collector!

I love this. I'm going to put this on the wall in my sewing room.

I agree....I sometimes take out some fabric and look at it and dream.....

The love of fabric, well, I'm not sure where that came from!

My mother passed away on March 2 and since I am the sewer in the family I inherited her collection. My mother has fabric, books, videos and crafting supplies stashed EVERYWHERE!!! The past several years my sister and I would encourage her to go through everything and get it organized and thinned out so we wouldn't have to do it. She never got around to it.... I can now say I am glad she didn't. The memories!! Wow! Going through all of her stuff is going to take a lot of time but I am going to enjoy it.
