I just got an Avante two months ago, and while the learning curve is steep, we are becoming friends. The bobbin assembly literally fell apart when I was working on my first quilt. Just a detail!!! Got that repaired and we are doing well now. I have given away 5 of the quilts that I have done. My first one was a rather large "car" quilt for the dog. I did have some trouble with threads. I cannot use "any" thread as they state. But I found a good thread supplier here in Toronto that charges $7.00 Can + tax and shipping for 6000 metres. About 500 colours and not a break so far in the quilts I have done with their thread. I am now a very happy camper. You will love yours too.

Great idea..............wow, "laughing" and thinking how you could put the rest of the world in suspended animation for the first week or so. dust sheets on all the furniture, saran wrap on the knick-knacks. warped sense of humor today, have great fun !!!!!!!!
