My DH and I went out to dinner tonight and after dinner he said do you want to go to Walmart? So off to WM we went. I was back looking at the fabric as always and I decided to go over and look at the sewing machines. Guess what they put the Disney embrodery machine on clearance and hubby said hey why don't you get that one. (I had been looking at them on line but I didn't tell him about that at all). So to make a long story short we bought the machine. It was on clearance for $250 which was way cheaper than the used ones on Ebay. I've been playing with it for the last 3 hours and I love it. I can't wait to get some different color thread and really start some projects.

I'm so so jealous of you just being able to go to Walmart on a whim!! I LOVE WM, as does my DH, and going there was such a thrill on our holiday in Maine last summer. DH and I went to NYC last week (our first time going anywhere alone together since DS was born 7 years ago) and I was researching the closest WM but it was too far away.

Lucky you with your embroidery machine. You were in the right place at the right time (and with the right man!!). Enjoy your new purchase. It'll be all the more enjoyable for being a bargain.

Have fun with your new machine and take good care of that terrific hubby of yours!

You'd better hold on to both the husband and machine. Can't wait to see your work.

What a fun find! You'll be embroidering like there's no tomorrow! Can't wait to see your creations.

How wonderful! I've been looking at them, too, but no chance of that for now. I so want a long arm machine, an emboidery machine, a whole quilt/sun room.........ah, well, when my ship comes in!

Do let us know how long you stayed up playing that new machine! I would have been up all night, no doubt in my mind!

Hi Sharon, I also want a long arm but that will have to wait until after I retire which is a ways down the road. I love my new machine. I stayed up until 3 am just playing and I played on it alot yesterday. I'm going to order a 60 spool thread set off of ebay. Right now I only have three colors so I really haven't made anything just been trying all of the designs on scrap fabric. I can't wait until I get all of the colors so that I can actually start working on some projects. The only thing that I've made that I plan to actually use so far has been a quilt label for my latest quilt.

wow....my husband hates walmart..(.he complains if he is with me..which I seldom let him be, when I'm looking at sewing stuff). You are blessed to have a supportive husband!! Congrats!
