Congrats! You will have so much fun sewing with her over the years.

Hurray!! It will be wonderful to have a sewing partner and someone to pass on your tips of the trade to. Congratulations.

l just love her choice of colors - its very young/hip. Both of my daughters, ages 29 and 23, have interest in quilting with me, but not as much free time as they'd like. We do sew together on rare occasions when we get an afternoon together.

That's so great!!!! I hope she loves it, and it'll be something you two share the rest of your lives.

I know how good that feels. My granddaughter who is 26 now started quilting at the age of 15 and when time permits she still loves to quilt! The only one out of three grands!

My daughter just told me today that she is assuming she gets my stash when I am gone. Of course she does I want someone to love it and use it like I do.

That's great! Please post a photo when she has finished the quilt.

That is so neat...especially coming from a 17 year old...so often at that age, they aren't ready to slow down enough to work with fabric, knit, crochet, etc. Life is coming at them so quickly at that age. Congratulations. I understand how pround you must be!

I taught my daughter and daughter in law to quilt and they both made several ....now when they need one as a gift or want one for themselves they ask me to make it....say they dont have time...My DIL makes sure every new mother/father or grandmother/grandfather in her office gets a baby quilt...but she says "Now that they know "I" have a talent, they always ask "ME" to make them one....all she does is tell me what she wants...LOL

Well good Job MOM. I'm sure my Grandmother would have wished one of us girls to do the same. I didnt take up quilting till just recently.Wish I had her now.

It's a great feeling. I went through it twice and it still warms my everytime the girls start or finish something new. It is just so important to have the next generation continue with traditions. After all, they will get the stash!

So nice she wants to carry on a family tradition. Take care.
