This is probably an impossible idea but....how would one go about doing a family coat of arms quilt, wallhanging, or banner? Paper piece or applique...would EQ6 make the pattern or would it be best to take the drawing or photo somewhere and get it enlarged....Please, I need lots of help with this crazy idea.

If it were me.....I'd take it to someone to have a digital design done for an embroidery machine. Just me.....

I was thinking the same as Shelley but you could always applique it. I'm not so sure about paper piecing. How big do you want this to end up?

I thought maybe I could use it as the center square of a quilt or a wall hanging....or make a banner to hang outside. I can't get my mind to go in other directions on making something else. If I break the whole design down and used the arrow, the bent arm, the helmet, the tear drop shape, etc...maybe I could come up with something useable. It makes my head spin thinking about it. It's something I wanted to do for DH...because he's one of a kind.

I don't think it's crazy -

If it were me - I would have it transfered to fabric with photo-transfer paper. That way you could do many many of them and maybe make them each the focal center of a larger square - just like the photo memory quilts are made.

Or if you want it bigger have a copy shop help you enlarge the image onto transfer paper/fabric and you sew it back together from the enlarged pieces - I just saw that on FOns and Porter love of Quilting show - it was very cool!

Thats how I did the label for my Mom's quilt - check the third picture on this page!!
