I just bought an innova and already need instruction loading the machine. It seems very confusing and kind of unnecessary the way the manual said to load. I was wondering the different ways to load one.

Did you buy from a dealer? Don't they provide some hands on instruction? Loading any frame the first time is kind of confusing, just take it step by step. Not sure what you mean by unnecessary, tho. I wouldn't skip any steps until you are more familiar with the frame.

Thank you for your quick reply, I'm actually using it now, my husband made me press on last night. I was ready the throw in the towel. I was used to working on the gammil, and loading it is totally different. I was using zipper leads, and liked that. I'm having trouble pinning the quilt to the leads with the innova. Not even sure how or what is even. This is the most confusing thing imaginable. The people I bought the machine from live in MO and I am in MN. They offered to give me a lesson if I wanted to come down. Hopefully I can, but in the meantime I wanna learn. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!!!!

Thanks for the comment on the zipper leads. I was debating on adding them. My leaders are gridded, which helps. If yours are not, I would take a sharpie and a ruler (and a cool drink) and measure from the rail X inches and make a mark. Do this every 3-4 inches across the leader. this will give you a starting line that is even with the rail to pin to. You can purchase separating sleeping bag zippers and add them to the leaders at a later time.

When I bought my quilting machine, my Dealer, too, did not live nearby and I wanted to get started and hadn't had any lessons on how to load. I went on YouTube and watched several tutorials on "how to load a quilt" and I fugured it out. It is confusing, especially when we are new, because every quilt frame is a little different. Then when I figured it out, I took a permanent marker and put arrows on each frame roller, to show which way to roll that roller. It helped me tremendously when I was in the learning phase.
