Inserting large diamonds into rows of smaller

Good Morning! I am making a quilt top that is all diamonds sewn together with no sashing. I want to insert a larger fussy cut diamond every so often which takes up the space of four smaller diamonds. I'm not quite sure how to go about this. I've looked online and on youtube and can't seem to find any tutorials. I'd appreciate any help. As always, many thanks!

Seems to me that you would sew 2 rows of the smaller diamonds together and use it as one larger row that your bigger diamond is sewn into

I was thinking that you could sew your smaller diamonds into sets of four to match the size of your larger diamonds and arrange like regular blocks.

Thank you! I'm finding out that I need to make my large diamond 1/4" smaller on all sides because of seams on the smaller diamonds.

I was sewing them in strips around the larger diamond, but I'll give that a go! Thank you!
