Inspira Quilting Frame

Hello,
Everyone on this board is always so willing to help that I thought I'd ask you all what you think about an Inspira Quilting frame & Pano shelf With stitch regulator And the Janome 1600Dbx machine for $400.00. I have the opportunity to purchase this from an older lady that is retiring from Quilting due to health reasons. What should I ask about ? What do I need to be sure and get for this? Thoughts, suggestions & comments are appreciated!

I have no idea but I am sure there are people here that know about these machines & cases.

My friend has a similar set up. The downside is you have to keep winding the quilt alot. The space to quilt is not very big. However you will never have to baste a quilt again. She likes it and paid alot more for her used set up.

I would pay way more for that setup than $400. I say call her now!

I started with a similar setup and it served us fine for several years. There is not a lot of space, but it will help you get your feet wet. When/if you upgrade you can sell it for what you paid for it or keep the machine for piecing. It is a substantial machine.

I agree that you should buy it just make sure the machine works and the frame is complete hopefully she has the directions on putting it together. When I bought my frame a few years ago there were no directions so I paid to have it setup. Good luck!

I would want to try it out and then you would probably know what to ask. If you like it and it's easy to use that is a good price.

Originally I paid $2700 for this set up. It's great. The only draw back is that the harp is only 9".
