I'm setting my blue and white star blocks on point, have it all planned out, but have hit a brick wall.

The half triangles that fill in the gap to the border, I really want to do some kind of blue and white pattern, but don't want to detract from the stars. Solid blocks just look too chunky.

Any ideas on how to do the triangles?

Can you break the large triangles into 3 smaller ones, do 2 white and one blue, or vice versa?? haven't seen the blocks, so hard to say.

The colours are not great, I took photos of each block and then imported it into EQ, so they're a little dull.

And the spot fabric I have is not quite that intense, I couldn't get that to scan very accurately either, far too many dots in there! lol

But you kind of get the idea.

I think it looks beautiful as is. :D

What is the name of the bottom right block? I really like how the two colors play off each other in it.

I am assuming it is the white blocks you are talking about. How about a white on white block or a light light blue wave block or a combo of the 2.

BTW it looks great even if you use the soild white block like we see it.

That is really looking good. It's fun seeing the block I made in your quilt. I have one of your blocks. :D

The solid white actually has a light pattern of off white through it, so it's not plain. The more I look at it, the more I think you might be right. Breaking the white up might make it too fussy.

Bellaboo, I'm not sure what the name of that one is, sorry, it's not my one.

I wouldn't mess with perfection! It's wonderful just the way it's laid out. The light cream butter yellow (that's how it shows on my screen) is perfect with the shades of blue! Perfect!!!
