Has anyone ever used Insul-bright as the batting in a quilt? I am going to use some to insulate my new ironing table and the directions state it can be used for quilts and comforters because it is breathable and it reflects heat energy back to its source. Also, that it can be machine washed and dried and not break down over time. It seems like it would be easy to machine quilt and wouldn't be too heavy.

So I thought I would see if anyone has tried it and if so how it worked for them. Thanks for any information. :)

Yes, it is awesome! I use it in pot holders and table runners always, washes beautifully and really holds up the shape. Easy to quilt through, kind of like warm and natural. Very durable. I also use it in mug rugs...helps insulate a little better I think.

I'm watching this with you. Would be great to know especially for my cold, cold bedroom.

I use it for pot holders and table mats to put hot things on. My only complaint is that it dulls the needle when you sew it. You may need to change your needle after you sew on it. Otherwise, I find it to be a great product.

You know, I thought the same thing about using it for quilts. But then I thought it was a goofy idea. NOT! Now that I see someone else thought of it! I use my 40% off coupons at Hobby Lobby for that.
