Insul-Bright

Question for all of you quilting pros out there. :o Can Insul-Bright be pieced together to make a larger piece for a casserole carrier? If so how should this be done? I know it has been posted on this board about piecing smaller batting pieces together by butting both ends together and zig-zag sewing the two pieces together.
Thank you for all of your wonderful advice. I'v learned so much on this board from such wonderful people. Thank you all
Sue

I don't see any reason to not. Just be sure to abut the edges really well- no gaps.

I've pieced Insulbrite together several times doing just what you said- butting the edges & zig zagging.

Yes ma'am. You can piece it with good results.

Besides, when you double the layers, you can overlap with a piece that doesn't have a seam in it. Because Insulbright did not live up to my expectations, and now I always double it.

I've done it also - just but up the edges and zigzag.
