Has anyone ever used Insulbrite for an ironing board cover? How do you use it? There is also ironing board fabric a JoAnns but I don't know anything about either.

I put insulbrite on the bottom and a layer of batting on top then covered my 'new' ironing board with fabric. The insulbrite reflects the heat back to what I am ironing.

the ironing board fabric wears out really fast...and it tends to hold heat not reflect it like it should.
I use it, but I put a layer of thicker duck or twill over it.
So my layers are board, insulbrite, reflective fabric, then cover fabric!

I have a smaller board that is actually an old wool blanket and denim...works just as good!

I have a cutting table that I lay Insulbrite over, then a layer of pretty fabric. That is my ironing board. When I need to cut, I take the layer off. Very easy.

I get the insulbrite but not the reflective fabric, what do you use?
