Judy, received my email list for which I must say thank you, and how very professionally you organised this.
Everything is washed and ready to go, but must finish a couple of things, but that should only take me 1 days sewing, so my brain has been elsewhere planning the start of my square. Good luck everybod. Elle |
Hi Judy
Thank you for organizing this. I am thinking what colours/patterns to choose. So much choice. Margaret |
OK, we are going to try one more group. This will definately be the last one....lol
Post if you are interested.. Judy |
Are we going to have a discussion thread to toss around ideas?
|
I think thats a great idea. Ill start one with pics of my center.

Judy and all participants...
I will be watching this thread... Looking for the centers and the borders that go onto them.. I, perhaps, will join in the next one.... Thanks for organizing this...as I learn alot from the trials and successes and of course the beautiful pics of all the work. Kirsten |
I got my list and I have been busily shopping for fabric. Have spent WAY too much, but some is to just add to a stash that I am building. :)
Hoping to get home next week, as all flights are pretty much cancelled for Guam. :( |
Terri!!
I've been looking for you! Are you going to try to swim back??? I have new and exciting fabrics enroute and don't have a clue what to do for my center! Yikes! |
Well, I'm the opposite of you, Terri and MJ. I have the center ideas, but haven't started to pull fabric yet. My question is this....how do I make a center pattern bigger?? I'm thinking I will play with some paper to see what size I need to be cutting. I'm certainly not smart enough to just figure it out and go because...of course the center looks better on point  I'll think some more, then maybe let ya'll know what it says to cut...maybe you non math challenged folks can help

Oh, thank you, thank you - for the upcoming discussion. For us "new guys on the block", it would be so helpful to get suggestions about how to decide on a center, what to consider, what to avoid. I know it's my quilt and I can do whatever I want, but would sure welcome any input from others as I consider where to start. Looking forward to the discussion.
