Jenny Haskins has an invisible thread that I use on top and in the bobbin. Have had no problems.

I will only use Sulky invisible thread. But have only used it on top.
If your machine is like mine, when you wind a bobbin, you can't control the speed since it's automatic start and stop. When I was a kid, it was my job to sit there and wind the bobbins by hand! My Grandmother and Aunt both had treadle machines. But winding it by hand you could be more careful of not stretching the thread. |
I like the YLI brand of invisible thread and I get the best results when I use it in the bobbin and the needle. My machine prefers needle and bobbin thread to be the same. I get much better results when I do.

one time i tried it in the bobbin and it wasnt very good from then on i just use it in the top thread

I use YLI and it works well. Not in the bobbin though!
