I love my IPad also. I could get more quilting done if it wasn't for this toy.

i love love love my Ipad. I said i didnt need it, had a puter, blah blah. Now you just try to get it away from me!!! Even in the middle of nite when I cant sleep Im on it, reading, surfing net, looking at pics, checking facemail, playing games, and checking out all the quilting and recipe sites. Ipad, cell phone and microwave go to desert island with me!

Great savings if you already own and ipad.

We use our I-Pad for quilting! I even have an app that looks where I am and then tells me (map or list form) all quilting stores near where I am.

I've not figured out how to print from it either. I end up running downstairs, loading up the desktop and printing if I need to print.

The I-pad is small and light - so it fits into my sewing space (unlike a laptop).

My son-in-law gave me his old iPad when he got the iPad 2. Now I wonder how I ever got along without it. I download books from the public library and have downloaded lots of old books with expired copyrights. I love reading books on my iPad because I can get a large font. This weekend, I was able to watch the 20/20 segment on Pat Summitt again. I like that fact that I can put TV apps on the iPad. As for quilting, I have two quilting apps that I really like - - QuiltCalc which lets you calculate the yardage needed for quilts, etc. and BlockFab-HD which gives you lots of quilt blocks, you can look at them in different colors, and it gives all the information you need for making a quilt with the block selected. Both apps are free. I have been very ill for the past 2 weeks. During that time, I have been reading the Quilting Board on my iPad. I was able to lie down and begin learning how to navigate the new format. As you can see, I love my iPad!

I love my Ipad2!!! I get my emails, take pics, download books to read, play games, banking, directions, watch Direct TV, get coupons, Skype and FaceTime with my grandkids. I would be lost without it.
I did not get the IPad with the G3 options. Everyone has Free WIFI so you really don't need the the G3. I had a IPad and my husband loved it so and went out and got me the Ipad2. Lol

Do you mind sharing the names of the quilt apps? I just got my iPad and don't know much about the app part yet. Thanks.

I like QuiltCalc by Kaufman. It is really nice.
