I'm making a twin irish chain from this book and want the batting to be nice and fluffy like in the pic of this book. Does anyone know what she uses? She said 8-10 oz batting but none of mine is labled by oz

if it's fluffu it's most likely poly

she did say it's polly but i guess polly comes in different weights? should i just get the extra loft or would that be hard to quilt?

Years ago, I used to buy 8oz polyester batting at Joann's. I could only tie those quilts as they were too thick to try to machine quilt.

Extra loft is harder to hand quilt.

I just used a high loft poly batting from a LQS. Don't know the weight as it was off a roll, but it was at least 1 inch high. I machine quilted it and it worked fine. It would be a little harder to hand quilt, but doable. The stitches may not be as small.
