Hi all...........can someone please help me? I just finishing piecing the Double Irish Chain. I really like it. Now i want to find out something about the Single Irish Chain.........i found the attached picture on the internet. U can see how the solid area is not on the diamond shape. How would i achieve this layout using the single irish chain method? TIA

It's just a 9 patch on point. See where the chains cross each other? That's the 9 patch.

Yep, very pretty done with two colors, but I agree...a nine patch on point

A 9patch alternated with a solid block of the same size. I think construction is done in the diagonal rows with setting triangles at each end. Check out the tutorial suggested. You may can google for the size setting triangles and corner triangles you need, based on the size of your other square blocks.
