I thought you said you were going to do the warm wishes?? must have missed something..I am not a fan of the stack/whack or OBW type quilts...warm wishes or BQ2 would have been nice

Stack and Whack or One Block Wonder were exactly what came to mind for me. The perfect fabric to show the use of those patterns!

I can think of so many ways to use this fabric-am anxious to see what is done with it.

with only 1/3, I would just use it as an alternate block. OR, you could go back and buy more so you could do the OBW or a stack n whack!

I am also going to make a baby Irish Chain for a friend's daughter who will deliver her little Irish boy in March...great timing for sure! I love that fabric! $12.99 but I had a 40% off coupon. There was not a lot left but the lady said she expected to have more.

I had a 40% off coupon also, so that helped. My roommate is hoping there's enough left tomorrow to use the 50% off one for the other 4 yds we need. If there's not any left in the greater Atlanta area we may be appealing to the quilt board!

I had already done the SAW when someone recommended the warm wishes. I really like the WW pattern & will use it in the future. This fabric would do very well with that pattern as there are several beautiful colors in it. I've done several SAW's & have so much fun with them.

"When Irish eyes are smiling". Yes make something Iris. Waiting to see your idea.

OH, WOW! That's going to be one fabulous quilt. I never envisioned it could be cool.

ABSOLUTELY! I looked that pattern up when I saw all the gorgeous ones in the picture achives. I love that you put the octagons together by halves so that there are no set-in seams. Now to find the perfect material! I just hate when I need to shop for more material ;)

Love the fabric.

Perfect! That is going to be a wonderful quilt! Be sure to post pics. Can't wait to see the finished quilt!

How do you people do this???? I looked at the whole fabric and couldn't even begin to think what to do with it. Personally, I think it is too busy to use w/o cutting somehow, but the kalidascope is perfect! It shows off the individual elements of the fabric (which are pretty neat).... Hmmmmm, wonder if our Joann's has it? $12.50/yd!!!!

I am not a fan of stack and whack, but your fabric makes it beautiful. Can't wait to see the finished project.

We traveled afar to find more of the two fabrics our JoAnn's was out of. I found the perfect OBW fabric. Thanks, guys, another quilt in the drawer to be created, but it's going to be GORGEOUS! Anyway, back to the Irish print. The lady who cut the fabric for us commented that she'd seen a posting on the quilting board about this fabric. I told her that was me! So, we not only found our fabrics, and some new fabrics, we met a QB member.

I would love to hear what the creative people on this board would do with it, then I will post what we decided to do with it. We both have plenty of WIP, but we just could not resist starting on this fun quilt.

Love your fabric: now what pattern I would use its called " cotton field" I found it in EQ6 it is paper peiced wiith a large square area in the center. there are so many pretty colors in your fabric to corrodinate with this pattern, just a suggestion. maggie
