I have a year old Rowenta - also made in Germany. It leaks when the water level gets to 1/3 full. I think it might be because I dropped the iron. Before that I had a B&D that I loved - until it started to drip rusty water. I got 25 years out of it which was fantastic.

Me too!!! I bought the one made in Germany. I love, love, love this iron. It is a pleasure to use.
