i use the foot that has the center guide and zig zag. While the tape sounds like a good idea I don't want to add that extra expense to batting. Zigging it works find for the small quilts i make.

Yes I use it, and love it.I use to hand sew pieces of batting together. When I found this no more hand sewing batting together. love it........
