Has any one of you ladies had problems on going with you irons??? I bought a $70.00 Rowenta because my cheap
Shark quit working. Now the Rowenta has been leaking water when I stand it on its end. So I have now bought another cheap on $22.00 GE. The Rowenta was sent back to the factory today as it was still under waranty.

It seems like I go through irons a lot I don't know if is me
or the way they make irons now . I take very good care of them I really don't know what happens.

I use the cheap ones. About $20. I also get the ones with a teflon coating. One of my old ones would put off a lot of heat and everything stuck to it. Once I got the one with teflon I haven't had any problems.

I am sticking to the Walmart $14-$20 irons...they seem to last as long as the more expensive ones... I am tired of putting out good money and not having the expensive ones last longer than a year or so.....

i bought a rowenta at walmart, it gets cool so fast. I have to shake it, I mean SHAKE IT hard to get it back on. I may get have to get a new one soon. I do have a little girl in the house who likes to touch everything.

Rowenta has outsourced some of their iron to China. If you find one that says made in Germany buy it. The new iron made by Reliable is the best iron on the market now. It can't spit water because water doesn't leave the separate tank inside the iron, only steam can get out. Reliable makes dry cleaning presses and irons and has been a quality brand name for years. This is the first home use iron they have made.

My Walmart iron doesn't have the auto shut off feature, and is one reason I love it so much. :D:D:D

I don't have any luck with Rowenta's.
I'm on my 3rd one & it still leaks.
I got a cheap one that iron's better than the 100.00 ones.
It's still a Rowenta with NO shut off.
so much better.

I still have the Iron I got for a wedding gift in 1971, I am sure it is a cheap one but it works fine. I had another one because I was tired of the olive green and I did buy a $9.00 on from Dollar Tree recently as my 2 Year old grandson poured black paint in my water well- I refuse to spend big bucks on an iron. I have seen some great old irons at resale shops for 2 or 3 dollars too.

what does everyone think of the eloso?i knocked my new[$20.oo one off & broke it......no great loss,if i put water in it ,it ran out faster than i put it in]have thought about another rowenta,had one for years,but reviews aren't great now.hear almost nothingabout the elizo.REALLY hate to invest $100.00 in an iron if it isn't up to par.

I bought a small Rival steam iron from WM for $6.99 -- regularly $9.99. I just got it a week ago. I LOVE it! It's the hottest iron I've got, lightweight and does NOT shut off in 10-20 minutes.!!!!!!!!! YAY! I have no idea how long it will last but I'm going back to get 2 more...for backups....LOL LOL

Me too!! The $20 irons last a couple of years with all the high heat use, and then I throw it away and buy another one. I usually don't use the steam feature either, since I only spray water or starch.
