A friend of mine is commissioning me to make, for her daughter, a quilt involving dragonflies. She loves the one-block-wonder / kaleidoscope design.
I did an initial pass through quiltshops.com without finding anything, so I now turn to you all: Can any of you think of a fabric that a) has fireflies in it (the more realistic the better) and b) would work in a kaleidoscope / obw-style look? (i.e., would make good hexagons)? I look forward to your suggestions. Thanks! |
Well, did you know that there's a fabric site dedicated to bugs, called (what else) bugfabric
http://www.bugfabric.com |
Would it matter if it did have dragonflies since in a OBW they are not seen the same in the new block. Maybe a different pattern would work better.
