I'm not sure what the name of the pattern is, but here is how I can best describe it. Take a square piece of fabric maybe 8", cut it in to a 9 patch. You then sew scrap strips in the center block. In the middle blocks of the outside rows you sew triangles of different sizes to make a crazy looking star. I saw this at a SOYO and can't remember the ladies name that was making it. This makes a great scrap quilt and would love the pattern or directions if anybody has it. I can't remember if when you cute the 8" square if all of the 9 patches are of equal size. Please help.

This made me chuckle as I looked into the scrap bin, and decided it was way over-organized. Either that or I'm just a fabric slob.
