I am thinking about making a isosceles triangle quilt for my next project. Has anyone here made one? It looks like it would sew the same as a tumbler quilt.

I would think so, I have the Go die, but haven't used it yet.

You mean like a Thousand Pyramid quilt? I've done one. It's very easy. Make sure your straight of grain edge is the base of your triangle so the rows don't have bias edges when sewn together, and press the seams all the same way per row, but the opposite way in the next row.

Thanks for the tip!!! I never would have even thought of that.

Here is a picture of what it will look like...I will use purple, pink and flowers. Fingers crossed its easy not like the Apple Core...I cut all my fabric for the Apple Core and that was too hard for me...when its not fun...its not for me.

Can't wait to see it finished! My LQS gave me a free pattern for an easy way to do the apple core. I haven't done it yet (not even sure where it's at) but I guess it's too late since your fabrics are cut already. Good luck with this one-no curves should help!

I love that. Are you going to bind it that way? It's very pretty.

I am not sure. I have done a few tumblers and I just cut off the ends. I do like the look of the waves but I don't know if I have the patience.

I don't think it would be that bad because the arc isn't as deep as most scallops. Let us see it when you're finished!

I turned a Stack & Whack into one. I did chop off the sides and added a plain white border to make it "float." It's one of my favorites.
