It's growing on me.

I started a quilt top and wasn't to sure of my choice of fabrics. I worked on it some at the retreat but it's been sitting for a couple weeks. Today I decided to work on it. I'm sewing the sashing in between the blocks and I'm actually looking forward to finishing it up. I love it when I don't have to be disappointed.

I can understand what you are saying - when you put so much time & effort into a quilt - if you are not happy with your color choices - it usually ends up in my UFO stack

Glad to refell in love with your project - don't forget to post pics when you are done

I have found that when I'm disappointed or frustrated on a quilt top I'm working on, if I put it aside for awhile and then go back to it I find I like it much better, too.

You can do a happy dance when it's all finished! Be sure to post a pic!

I understand....sometimes we just have to keep telling ourselves we'll do it different the next time...and keep going till it's finished.

I completely understand. Sometimes by the time I finish a quilt I am so tired of the fabrics that I think everyone else will think they're bad choices too. But then when I hear good comments, or when I let some time pass, I start to like those yucky fabric choices after all. The same goes for quilts that, shall we say, didn't go together quite right? Mismatched seams, points that don't point, etc.? After some time passes, I don't see those problems anymore, and that has to be a good thing.

I know the feeling. I have a topper now that needs to be quilted but I have lost my gumption. I take it out every now and then, spread it out, look at it, and then fold it back up to be placed in the drawer. SIGH

Glad yours is growing on you! :D
