It's an Irish Chain kinda day!

I have an old UFO that I have been working on. Well, actually two. One is on the frame to practice quilting and the other is on the design wall.
at least I hope I like one of them.

I'm sure they will turn out great. Post a picture when you finish.

That's gorgeous - love the colours. Brown usually isn't my thing, but it works so well on this top. Which reminds me, I saw an 18th century Irish chain quilt in an exhibition a few months ago, made in beautiful muted colours on a creamy background, and took notes and drew pictures, as I'd like to try to do something similar. Must have a think about it!

Beautiful Irish Chain.

I love the Irish Chain pattern too. Your quilt is lovely. All those tiny pieces! That's what intimidates me.

Love your color choices and their placement! I have a UFO, also an Irish Chain, done in shades of blue with a white background. Mmmm... maybe it's a Irish Chain kind of day for me too.

Those tiny pieces aren't as hard as they look. You can make the nine patches by cutting strips L-D-L (Light, Dark, Light) and D-L-D and then sub-cutting the pieced strips into three pieced blocks. Then arrange those into nine patches.

Beautiful quilt!

Very pretty, one of these days I'll try one. After all the other projects I've been inspired on here to make!

Wow, worth having an Irish-chain-type-of day! Would like to see the end product.
