The flannel would be like velcro for fabric pieces, right? Or at least, that's the idea?

Try hanging your pictures with needles or straight pins. Put them in at a fairly sharp angle and you'd be surprised how much weight they will old. Makes just a little hole in the wall that can be "pressed" out with your finger or fixed with a dab of white toothpaste. Of course, this does not work on plastered walls but, it does on drywall!

Enjoy, you deserve this well earned day off.

The design for the baby quilt is set! So now I'm out here smoking my cigarette - I don't smoke in the sewing room, it's bad juju - waiting for my iron to heat up so I can start pressing and cutting.

And since someone asked...

The bed really acts ... it's a rent house and dh is being difficult about holes in the walls ... plastic set of drawers with it. The stash ... so dh won't see how very much I actually have!

That's your sewing room?? It's so simple and neat! and all you need is right there!
(I need to do a major re-do/reduce and some recycling in mine.)
Enjoy your day off.

But personally, I think my dh is just being paranoid about the hole in the wall thing...what landlord expects you not to hang pictures?!

Get those 3M stick-em-up hooks (you can remove them when needed) but check the size/weight limits. I put several 5/8" grommets at the top of my self-made flannel design wall and hooked them on the stickups. Voila! and for those tiny holes, that white toothpaste does work on drywall!!!! Good luck.

Yeah! I plan to go into my sewing room, as soon as I finish reading these posts and my email!
