It's official I finally own a sit down LA

I'm convinced one can FMQ on any domestic sewing machine and the right walking foot w feed dogs up or down. Have done it w several of my machines with great results. But for years I've wished for a LA because of the throat space yet could not justify spending so much. I'm retired and convinced this is what I admire and love to do so I bit the bullet. I've done my homework and chose one that is perfect for me. Was a bit nervous because many reviews make reference to struggles w tension no matter which LA I considered. Found multiple 'you tube' links on how to get a handle on that. The recommended practices actually apply to any sewing machine for bottom and top tension. My new Charm 22 took 3 weeks to arrive The anticipation had the best of me. Cleared a special place of honor for it in my home and I'm in love. The stitching is wonderful and it's quiet - I need FMQ practice but that's on me 😋 Delivered and set up by 10 AM yesterday. Other than meal times I played w my new toy all day! Finished quilting a small baby quilt too. It just needs binding now |
show us some picture of your machine and your quilt. So happy for you. This will keep you busy during retirement.

It looks like the table folds up for support for your quilt. I am still quilting (limited because of disability) on my Bernina, won many awards for my quilts and never had a problem dealing with a smaller harp. I wish you hours of fun on you new machine.
