Congratulations! It is hard to get a Featherweight on e-bay - been down that road. My husband to me one at a quilt shop and I love it!

Congratulations on your new machine. I hope you enjoy your machine as much as I do mine. I have 2 featherweights, a black and a white, I use them more than my big heavy machines also and always take them when I go someplace as they are light and easy to pack. I got mine off e-bay too, and they worked like a charm when I took them out of the box.

I have my DH mother's FW. She took really good care of it and it looks great! The case is came in is a little worse for wear. LOL It has all the original attachments and the instruction book. It's really a neat machine.

FW's are like rabbits, after two they tend to multiply! I collect and yes use these special babies. Last count since I downsized was at an even dozen, most of them very old and in very good condition, Enjoy your new baby. They are the best. My first one was purchased second hand in 1961! ps thats my pug looking at one that I had to use for parts :|

I love mine, I use it all the time. I paid $10.00 for it back in the late 80's. Still had the manuel and all the attachements.

Mine was from an individual. She said it was her grandmother's and that granny didn't do much sewing. Hope it doesn't turn out like the used car salesman who's trying to sell one owned by a little old lady who only drove it to church on Sundays. - LOL - Actually, she had lots of photos and the machine and case looked like they were in great shape. However I won't know for sure till I get it. I'll keep you updated.

Somehow I never seem to find bargains like that.

When he won the 1st one we were so excited...then he tried to cancel the two others that he put a max bid on and whoops...can't cancel! So I am the proud ower of two fw's and a german treadle!! I'm not complaining, was a hard lesson for him to learn but was REALLY good for me!! Oh, and I am half way thru Billys vintage sight but my butt fell asleep from sitting so long! I didn't even know that was possible!!!
