Jamestown, Marti Mitchell. Blocks of the Month

I purchased this kit years ago and finally started it. Unfortunately I am missing the last pages detailing the size of the three borders. I have the fabric, directions and rulers but not the last dimensions. Anyone know? or have an idea of who to contact to ask?? I can't find an address for Marti.

An easy way to figure out the borders. Look at the finished size. Now deduct the total of the finished size of blocks going across. Then do the same for the length. Then compare the finished picture to calculate the sizes.
Just guessing, for this quilt.
82" width
-60 -- 5 blocks @ 12" = 60 inches
22" left for borders.
-2 (1x2) First border is probaby 1" finished
- 4 (2x2) Second border at 2" finished
-16 (2x8) 16" for final borders which would be 8 inches wide
Balance is "0"

Let's verify with the length
106" finished
-84" 7 blocks finishing at 12" each = 84
22" for borders

Bingo....but that doesn't mean I am correct. The 22" could be 1.5x2 = 3", then 3x2=6; leaving the final border as 13" which would 6 or 6.5 inch final border.

I compare the pictures of the border compared to parts in the blocks. See which look comparable

I taught this block of the month twice when I had my store. I have the book of patterns and templates.
