Jandt (original Inspira frame) frame & Janome 1600 machine

Okay, so after multiple searches and as many phone calls, it seems that what I was told was an Inspira frame is actually the original Inspira frame first known as a Jandt frame, that was made by New Joy.(who is no longer in business) This frame is one of the only ones that has the pantograph frame above the machine head and not under it. The dial on the handle bars is what came with this frame and it does plug into the machine, making it a stitch regulator.

I do have the blue Grace Sure Stitch Control box on the back, but that is all. I was told by Grace co that their Stitch control encoders do not fit this first Inspira frame made by New joy. I was told that even purchasing a new set up ($500.) would n ot work b/c it is not compatiable with the frame.

The lady at Grace Co told me that what I have on the handlebars (Stitch regulator) is basically the same thing as the Grace Sure Stitch.

Help, I am So very confused. Do any o f you have this original set up, With the handlebar Stitch regulator dial? If so can you please tell me what you have and how you use it?
